She practices Integrative Medicine and conducts Mind-Body Skills Groups in-person and virtually, and is certified in mind-body medicine through The Center for Mind-Body Medicine. As an anesthesiologist she has seen the power of the mind over pain and stressful situations. Stress robs us of health. She actively practices a holistic approach to medicine through meditation, music therapy and in addition is also a certified health and life coach.

She is a clinical social worker employed as a therapist for the Pascua Yaqui Centered Spirit Program and the manager for The Tu’iriauvicha Vo’o – Path to Recovery Homes that includes a men’s and a women’s facility on the Pascua Yaqui Reservation. She also teaches as an adjunct faculty member at Pima Community College for the Social Services and Behavioral Health Department. Justice, healing, us-determination, and Indigenous values are the foundation of her practice and way of living.

Over the past 25+ years I have worked as a therapist with individuals and groups, engaging children, adolescents and adults. I specialize in addressing depression, anxiety, grief, loss and trauma, and applying psychological first aid in crisis situations. I run Mind-Body Skills/Self-Care groups for women. In all my clinical work, I bring a wide variety of therapeutic techniques designed to enrich and strengthen each person’s inherent health, well-being and power. Being a practitioner of mindfulness-awareness meditation for the past 30 years, I have pioneered applying mindfulness-based methods in many therapeutic settings over the years. I have engaged children, adolescents, adults, teachers, and corporate leaders in individual and group mindfulness – meditation practices designed to awaken the mind’s natural health at: University of Pennsylvania, Swarthmore College, Philadelphia Federal Detention Center, GlaxcoSmithKline, Charter schools in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Temple University, Cape Cod Institute, Philips Health Care Corporation and The Mindful Leadership Conference in New Delhi, India. As a trained yoga instructor, a certified Meditation Instructor and certified in Mind-Body Medicine, I am delighted to bring these cutting edge methods to my private practice to help clients embrace a personal path to healing and renewed psychological health.

Kimber R. Olson is a member of the CMBM Supervision Team. Certified in Mind-Body Medicine, Kimber is a member of the Indigenous Initiative supervisory team. 

With over 30 years of experience working with and for Tribal Nations and communities, including 15 years providing training and technical assistance, Kimber brings a strengths-based perspective to her interactions with others. She has previous experience as a Head Start Family Advocate, Mental Health Consultant and Director, a Tribal CCDF Administrator, a Tribal Child Protection Case Worker, and faculty for the Northwest Indian College. Kimber works to ensure that collaboration efforts include equity, culture and a population-specific focus that recognizes the knowledge and experience base of the participants involved.

Kimber holds a master’s degree in social work and certificates in Inclusive Leadership, Change Management, Trauma-Informed Care and Counseling, and Alaska Indigenous Research. She is an Embodied Resiliency Educator, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher, and a Trauma Conscious Yoga Teacher (RYT-200, MYT-100, TCYM). She is also trained in Advanced Trauma-Informed Mindfulness. Kimber grew up living a subsistence lifestyle in her homelands and waters of Homer, Alaska in the 1970s and ‘80s.

Erin is a multifaceted student of life as well as a committed practitioner of her cultural beliefs. She is highly skilled in delivering insightful education that aids in substance use recovery and birthing (prenatal and postpartum wellness). 

Erin holds a Doula/Perinatal Educator certification from The Florida School of Midwifery and is currently pursuing an Alcohol and Drug Counseling(ADC-1) Level 1 through the Upper Midwest Indian Council on Addictive Disorders in Bimidji, MN. She is a member of the Navajo Nation (NM, AZ, UT, CO).
